Victoria Anderson

Director

Victoria works with clients on a wide range of corporate transactions and commercial projects. She uses her personable and focused approach to help clients achieve successful outcomes in an efficient and pragmatic way.

Victoria has considerable experience in mergers and acquisitions, with particular focus on in-bound investment into New Zealand and the primary industries. She has also worked on a number of significant distressed asset sales, administrations and receiverships. In addition to her corporate transactional practice, Victoria undertakes a range of work on commercial projects including in the equine, agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, transport, and water sectors.

Ben Morrison

Director

Ben advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters. He works with some of NZ’s best-known businesses and families in relation to corporate transactions, commercial operational matters and succession planning.

Ben has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, commercial property transactions and developments, and in the agriculture, horticulture, forestry, sports and retail sectors.

Cameron Fraser

Director

Cameron leads the Morrison Partners’ litigation team and has extensive experience achieving successful results for a diverse range of clients. He has acted as lead and junior counsel in cases including complex proceedings before the High Court (including injunctions, interlocutory applications, and substantive trials) and appeals in the Court of Appeal. Cameron also has experience acting on matters in the District Court, the Employment Court, the Employment Relations Authority and other specialist tribunals, as well as arbitrations and mediations.

Cameron’s recent experience includes complex commercial property disputes, financial markets and director duties claims, disputes between former business partners, professional liability claims, building and construction disputes, regulatory matters and insolvency cases. Cameron excels in guiding clients to resolve their disputes in a commercially pragmatic manner where possible. He is also adept at working with others to achieve effective and efficient outcomes for clients, including specialist barristers, King’s Counsel, and leading experts.

Viktoriya Pashorina-Nichols

Senior Associate

Viktoriya is a Senior Associate in Morrison Partners’ corporate and commercial team, who enjoys advising and supporting clients with their goals and aspirations, by providing them with practical and commercial legal advice. Viktoriya is also a co-founder of Mahi for Ukraine, which is a cause that supports Ukrainian people through advocacy of the New Zealand Government on matters such as immigration and humanitarian aid.

Viktoriya advises clients on a wide range of matters, including business structuring, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions.  She also has particular expertise in advising start-ups on capital raising and flips to United States as well as assisting clients with regulatory compliance in connection with technology, financial services, fibre and telecommunications.

Viktoriya has a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Victoria University of Wellington, and she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in 2016.

Steffi Tindale

Senior Associate

Steffi is a senior associate in Morrison Partners’ litigation team, and advises clients on a wide range of commercial and corporate disputes. She works with clients on trust litigation matters, joint venture issues, and debt recovery. Steffi is personable and tenacious when assisting her clients and ensures she understands our clients’ objectives from the outset.

Steffi has appeared on various matters in the District Court and High Court and has been involved in various alterative dispute resolutions mechanisms, including mediations.

Steffi studied at the University of Auckland, completing an LLB(Hons)/BA, and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in 2019. She is also admitted in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Serene Sakairi

Solicitor

Serene is a Solicitor in Morrison Partners’ litigation team.  Prior to joining Morrison Partners, Serene was an employed barrister and has represented clients in the Family Court, District Court, and High Court, as well as in arbitrations and mediations. Serene has successfully resolved disputes across a broad range of areas, including contract law, company law, construction, trusts, tenancy, and cross-leases.  She is dedicated and always aims to navigate challenging legal matters with a focus on practical, client-centred solutions.

Serene has a Bachelor of Laws and Political Science from Nagoya University, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland, and also studied abroad at the University of Toronto, the University of Leeds, and St John's, Cambridge University.  Serene was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in 2023.

Serene is fluent in Japanese.

Rachel Simpson

Law Clerk

Rachel is a law clerk assisting our corporate/commercial and litigation teams.  She recently graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations. Her Honours dissertation provided practical insights into the proposed digital services tax framework, demonstrating her keen understanding of emerging challenges at the intersection of law and technology.  Rachel also currently serves as a tutor for the core Equity course at Auckland Law School.

Rachel brings fresh perspectives and academic excellence to our firm, working with a range of clients across multiple practice areas and industries, building a broad foundation of legal experience.

Bronwen Heaven

Legal Executive

Bronwen is a Legal Executive working with both our corporate/commercial and litigation teams.  Bronwen enjoys assisting our corporate and private clients with their business, commercial property, and asset structuring matters.  

Bronwen has an extensive legal secretarial background, including working in top tier firms in Auckland, Sydney and London.  She attained her NZ Legal Executive Diploma in 2024 and is an affiliate member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives.

Valerie Rey

Practice Manager

Valerie manages the day-to-day operations of Morrison Partners. Her responsibilities include trust accounting, firm accounting, information technology, legal compliance and generally ensuring we have a smooth-running office. Valerie’s extensive experience in legal administration roles enables her to provide superior administrative support for our team and clients.
